I apologise for the gaps between my entries.  I have been focusing heavily on training in the Sinnoh region in the past months.  I have successfully trained and evolved many interesting Pokémon, including my Blissey, Holly.  I am preparing myself for the final gym in this region.  I do not know how well I will fare, considering I have not been training Pokémon who are resistant to Electricity...  You know, now that I think about it... all of my current Pokémon are weak to it. (Well, except for Ara.  He's Electric-type himself.)  This might take much longer than I anticipated...

Last night, I couldn't sleep. The thunder kept me up til well past midnight. Finally, when the rain let up, I went out for a walk along the beach without my shoes on. The sand was nice as it squished between my bare toes. I wandered along, seeing the world hushed in darkness and dripping with remnants of a long, miserable day. I found Granite Cave and decided to explore. I pulled out my flashlight and boldly stepped in.

I found some interesting Pokémon. I caught an Aron and a Sableye. I'm more excited about the latter, as I'm interested in ghost and dark Pokémon. I've always admired trainers who can manage them because they seem so morose. Maybe I'll expand my team so I can train one, but we'll see. I journeyed down a ladder farther into the cave, but it was too dark to see and my flashlight wasn't helping much, so I decided to head back for the night.

Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a sleeping Abra. When I scanned it with my Pokédex, I found out it was a female! Not only are Abra quite uncommon, but female Abra are even rarer, so I was pretty thrilled. I felt bad ambushing it, but I know that Abra are very prone to Teleport away and I didn't want to miss my chance. Will, my Dustox, just recently evolved and I confused the Abra and threw one of my Great Balls at it and... I managed to catch it! I've named her Celia and spent a few hours working with her, Will, and Lenore (my Ralts) in preparation to take on Brawly in Dewford. I had some trepidations as attaining my first badge was quite difficult and took a few attempts. Thankfully, my hard work paid off and I now have the Knuckle Badge.

I took the boat to Slateport to deliver a package for an acquaintance. Now I think I'll take a nap!

Good evening.  I'm still in Dewford and it does look like I'll be spending the night.  It's been a bit of a listless day and I find myself writing this in the quiet common area of the Pokémon Centre.  I don't like when I'm forced into sitting on my laurels and waiting out the storm.  I guess I should be happy that I'm not trapped in a cabin somewhere, though.

Dewford is as boring as ever...  There's nothing here at all except a small cave and a local hotspot where they talk about the latest fad.  There isn't even a Pokémart here, which is annoying because I'm running out of Pokéballs.

I've decided to take a serious stab at training in the past few years.  I've always been a trainer at heart and interested in Pokémon and adventuring.  My father is what you would call...  a gym leader substitute?  I'm not sure what his real title is.  Whenever I try to tell people what my father does, it sounds like he's trying to be a leader and failing miserably.  Maybe he is.  I have no idea.  My father has worked in many different gyms in my lifetime.  We've moved around so much, it's hard to keep track of them.  The one I have the fondest memory of is Cerulean City Gym.  I guess ...  he's kind of a support staff, helping to prepare prospective trainers and test their abilities before they challenge the proper leaders.  He's pretty well-known for his work in numerous gyms.

My mother is a research assistant to Professor Elm in Johto.  She's been doing a lot of studies regarding Pokémon diets during breeding and how they affect breeding... or something.  I've never been a breeder, so it's hard to follow some of the stuff she spouts.  I guess she and dad made a good match because she was always interested in studying Pokémon in the different regions and their diets and dad's job made him move around a lot.

I've been thinking about them a lot recently.  Dad got a job at the Petalburg City Gym so they moved to Littleroot Town for the forseeable future.  I guess you could say I left home awhile ago.  I don't even feel like I have a home anymore, since we've lived in so many places...  Oh well...  I spent some time in Lavender and Celadon with some family and that was nice.  Now that I've finished school, I've decided to dust off my license and actually go out there and make a name for myself.  We'll see what happens.

When I was visiting my mom in Littleroot, I met Professor Birch.  We had a long talk about Pokémon habitats and we got along quite well.  I met his son too, who was more than a little rude, to be honest, but...  That's not important.  Professor Birch was so kind that he gifted me with a rather rare female Torchic.  I was absolutely beside myself (especially considering how much I adore fire Pokémon).  I named her Veruca.  She's sweet, although quite spunky.  She's travelling with me right now... And that reminds me that I need to feed her and the rest of my team and make sure they're ready to head out tomorrow.

Good night!

Uhm... Hello there!  Citron introduced me to this community and I hope to write a proper introduction shortly.  I am just fiddling with the settings right now as I find myself some spare time.  There's a terrible thunderstorm in the Hoenn region so the boat I was travelling on had to make a stop in Dewford for awhile.  I think I might be stuck here overnight, which I suppose is fine.  Maybe it will give me a chance to sort all this out and begin writing a real entry!

Anyway, I'm Melly and I'm pleased to meet you!
